Following the release of Firefox 3.1 beta 2 , Mozilla presented another surprise - this time to the representatives of the African-American community.

The Blackbird browser was created in collaboration with the little-known office 40A and is designed specifically for Americans with black skin. The only thing that distinguishes it from standard Firefox is the modified color scheme and a set of preset bookmarks that may be of interest to the black community. For this reason, Blackbird is more likely to be compared correctly with the social Flock, rather than firelis. So, for example, Google News specifically selects news that is potentially interesting to people with dark skin, the situation is the same with events, video and other online content - everything is filtered by race.

This is where the news ends and personal impressions go - the browser is completely ordinary and, without any doubt, the average Russian has absolutely no interest (unless you are crazy about black color). It was much more interesting to observe the reaction of American bloggers to the novelty - the level of indignation just goes off scale.

Despite the fact that initially the initiative is positive and encouraging, for some reason it seems to me that the browser will not be able to gain popularity, because using the Blackbird “black” population of the United States will again feel separate from the rest of the world. Although it is difficult for me to judge with my white skin.
