Firefox extension adds torrents on Amazon.com

The new Firefox extension called Pirates of the Amazon ( Amazon Pirates) turns the world's largest online store into a full catalog of pirated content. The idea is simple: “Amazon Pirates” simply add a torrent link to every page of the Amazon.com catalog to download this file for free.

Thus, the dream of any lover of freebies is brought to the absolute: you go around the store, look at the price tags and choose the appropriate movie (program, music album, game), and when the choice is made - just take the product for free by clicking on the “Download 4 free” banner .

The plugin works like Greasemonkey, modifying the page code in the browser. Links to torrents are obtained from the popular tracker The Pirate Bay .

The official Firefox extension site didn't work all day due to increased traffic. After that, they posted an ad that they no longer spread the expansion, and indeed it was supposedly a research project of university students. However, the xpi file has already been distributed over the web, and it really works.

By the way, similar “skins” also exist for IMDB.com, Last.fm and other sites. Most of them are made on the basis of Greasemonkey.
