Sistema Telecom has made friends with Microsoft

Microsoft Rus and Sistema Telecom , a subsidiary of Sistema, announced that they would cooperate in creating and launching new IT and telecommunications services to the market. From the companies' message, it follows that the Russian player receives a number of advanced solutions from Microsoft, which are necessary to increase its competitiveness, and Microsoft - the possibilities for introducing innovations in the country. These intentions of the company secured by signing the relevant memorandum.

What exactly will be the fruit of cooperation, the parties have not yet disclosed. But it is known that the plans have the launch of new services with Microsoft telecommunications developments as a foundation. In particular, it is known that they want to implement solutions that increase the efficiency of customer service. It is also assumed that a center of competence and training of company employees will be created.

The parties will focus not only on carrier services. The signed memorandum envisages a joint proposal of convergent services simultaneously rendered in the networks of several operators of the Sistema Telecom group.

In addition, the companies intend to conduct part of the marketing together. According to the press release, they agreed to "develop joint marketing and sales programs with the involvement of Microsoft resources."

At the same time, the partners will share both marketing and technological information, as well as “conduct joint events, research and testing of new Microsoft solutions with the possibility of their implementation in the Sistema Telecom group companies. These interactions, which so far in the future, determine the decision on the general direction of joint activities of the two companies. They will stay the same course, coming together in the intention "to strive for a mutually agreed understanding of the trends and prospects for the development of the infocommunications market."
