Online Karma offline

That's right, there is no mistake in the title, and no, this is not a person’s causal link, it’s about online karma offline.
The initiative group of the StartupPoint organizers (soon not only the city of Moscow) offers the following idea to the habra-community court (we suggest paying special attention to the organizers and participants of the regional meetings of startups):

We decided to bring elements of the game and competition to our meetings! Now the activity of all participants of the event will be encouraged by positive karma.

Karma of participants:
All participants who come to the meeting immediately earn 5 points of karma (encouragement to visit)!
At each meeting, the three most active participants are selected from the audience, who receive + to karma in proportion to their activity (1st place = +30 units, 2nd place + +20, 3e = +10). The most active determines the moderator. Activity is determined by questions / constructive criticism / ideas of the participant during the entire meeting (on Pitch, Lynch, questions on reports).
')
Start- ups will be assigned karma based on the assessment of this particular startup by the SP audience.
The startup karma directly depends on the startup karma. That is, how much karma a startup will receive, the same will be received by the person presenting it.
Of course, the most difficult question here is how to count and count votes, so as not to move into the bureaucracy and not lose a lot of time for this. There is a solution (it may not be the best, so we are bringing up these issues for discussion, but we still like it :). The audience adds or minuses a startup by raising a red (minus) or green (plus) piece of paper (usual small square colored office sheets for quick recordings). Perhaps the method is primitive, maybe even ridiculous, but we thought that it is more efficient to vote with color sheets than to raise hands, and it is also easier to count and easier to stop cheating.

Well, what to do with this karma, you ask !? Bonuses from this mass:
* Firstly, its further application on the SP site, which we hope to launch very soon
* a certain level of karma on the site (and offline) will be a reflection of your status in the SP community (for complete fun, we can invent any statuses / titles like: “beginner”, “experienced”, “cool starter”, “investor” who will depend on the number of points gained)
* status, in turn, will affect, for example, the level of access to various sections of the site
* the ability to receive bonuses from sponsors, for example, attending lectures by Internet guru Runet in the RMA. (By the way, the past, encouraged by the march on the lecture were very pleased)
* when a certain number of points is reached, you can become a moderator (as described earlier, the moderator charges karma offline and determines the most active participants)
* etc. (here you can offer more options)

By the way, the next meeting will be held this Sunday, December 7th at 15:00 in the club Justo .

What do you think about this idea? Does it make sense, will it be more effective?
