Google has bought 20 million digitized pages of historically important newspapers from
PaperofRecord . The first agreement on this matter was signed two years ago and, finally, the transaction took place with the approval of the shareholders of PaperofRecord's “parents” - the company Cold North Wind.
Newspaper pages include not only digitized print resources from Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe, but also some historical documents, such as the diaries of William Lyon MacKenzie King, the longest playing prime minister in Canadian history.
The images are not yet available to everyone, but there is no doubt that as soon as Google completes a special page, anyone can take a look at a copy of the Edinburgh Post telling about the first man on the moon.
