Comet Lake - picture is clearing up
In accordance with the repeatedly tested procedure for launching new Intel processors, following the information on the tenth-generation mobile models of Comet Lake, data appeared on their desktop counterparts. This time there was no intrigue (but last time, we recall, it was not without ): the processors received the expected two additional cores in the maximum configuration, another bit in the index (after all, the tenth generation) and a new socket.
Well, now, in fact, the picture. This is probably how Comet Lake looks in nature.
In total, 13 models of Intel Core Comet Lake processors in the i3, i5, i7 and i9 families are now known. They have from 4 to 10 cores, all with hypertreading, a base frequency of 2.7 to 4.0 GHz and a maximum frequency of 5.2 GHz for a single core. Most models have integrated Intel UHD 730 graphics, however, it is absent in the top 10-core models (these are marked with the F index). Compared with the previous generation, faster DDR4-2933 memory is supported, and in older models - DDR4-3200. The socket of the new family is LGA1159.
You may notice that Comet Lake processors are somewhat cheaper than their counterparts from previous families. Unfortunately, a new motherboard will have to be included in the upgrade kit.
