With the development of the blogosphere in RuNet, a sharp question arises: “Why should you trust the media or private blogs more?” Can blogs provide information more alive and believable than the press, television or radio. After all, these are, as a rule, commercial structures and they chase after their ratings. A blogger is often himself an eyewitness of an event, and in this case, his blog may be the only source of reliable information.
The only thing that exists between "traditional" and "blogger" journalism is a number of differences. One of the most important is that “blogging” is almost impossible to control and therefore it is difficult to distinguish truth from lie. If journalists have an official “Code of Professional Ethics of a Russian Journalist,” then bloggers simply don’t have one.
