December
3 D - International Day of 3D-designers, modelers and other sculptors of virtual volume, with which I congratulate them!
Under the cut - a list of other informal (for the time being) IT holidays:
New Year - it is also in Junikh on January 1, only not 2009, but 0x00000028 (the UNIX time countdown begins on 01/01/1970).
Overclocker Day - February 29 (the most overclocked day of the year). In ordinary years, February 28 is celebrated with a symbolic attempt to break up.
Webmasters Day - April 4 (404).
The sysadmin's day is the last Friday of July (since 2000, the date is chosen arbitrarily, but it is obvious that the holiday and vacation season is the minimum of the problematic activity of users).
Blogger
Day (BlogDay) - August 31 The figure "3108", as seen on the site
www.blogday.org , in outline resembles the word "Blog".
Tester's Day - September 9th (on this day of 1945, the first bug was caught from the Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator car, the real one about six legs :)).
Programmer's Day - September 12th in leap years and September 13th in the ordinary (256th day of the year).
Linux's birthday is September 17 (1991, the first version of the kernel laid out on ftp). The day of the first Linux post on August 25 is also celebrated.
Virmeaker and West Builder Day - November 2 (1988, Morris worm).
3D Day - actually today (3 December).
And finally, a week later, on December 10, we will
have a programmer's day (the anniversary of Ada Augusta Lovelace's birthday), when the owners of guinea pigs, according to an incomprehensible tradition, indulge their pets with a large tasty carrot :).
