I use Ubuntu 8.10 on a laptop. I wanted to use a Bluetooth connection to connect a WM5 communicator and distribute the Internet / LAN to it. To connect using a USB Bluetooth dongle. The OS sees the phone, and even connects.
I spend the subsequent setup on
this HowTo, but apparently I have some kind of special OS, as the line
sudo gedit /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf doesn’t get further.
In fact, I have no configuration file
/etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf , and it is missing out of the box. Googling did not help much, so I ask for help on Habré.
