In their commercials, Apple presents Windows as a magnet for viruses. Like, a huge advantage of Macintosh is that 114,000 known viruses under Windows are absolutely not dangerous for Macs. But in reality, the security of “Macs” is a myth, as evidenced by Apple’s technical recommendations for its users. They do not look like commercials.
A few days ago Apple’s official website updated its technical recommendations page, and now
the phrase appeared: “Apple encourages the widespread practice of installing several anti-virus programs so that there is more than one obstacle for virus developers and to make the whole virus-writing process more complicated.”
As they say, there are no comments here. Everyone knows that cracking a non-patched Mac OS X is absolutely no difficulty and, according to
various experts , this is only a question of the market share of Mac OS when it becomes a target for massive virus attacks. The number of holes in the system allows you to make a huge network of bots from the "makovods".

We add that the note on the Apple site also provides a list of the three recommended antiviruses, of which two are present in the official App Store.
