About Subtitles and Lyrics on the iPhone and iPod Touch
Once, after having pressed the next video with subtitles for my iPod Touch and habitually starting to watch it, I found that some remarks were italicized. I just remembered that I didn’t add formatting to my hands there, but made them directly from srt-files, so I was not too lazy to look into the interesting subtitle.
Indeed, the target replicas were plainly allocated with the html <i> tag. Curious.
Experiments have shown that other tags are supported, in particular <b>, <u>, <font>, <div>, <ol>, <ul>. ')
However, not all. For example, the inserted hyperlink is not pressed, although it is displayed as it should. And it was not possible to insert a <script> at all, so it’s not worth waiting for a wave of js viruses in the subtitles :)
And it turned out that all this is also supported in the lyrics. So lovers of directing beauty can now paint the lyrics with any colors and tracings.
