Facebook lost user settings

If you are an active user of Facebook, then over the past 24 hours you probably noticed that the number of notification emails from this service has increased significantly. And it’s not at all that your person has suddenly become more popular - it’s a matter of the network itself.

Facebook allows participants to regulate notifications on 30 different criteria, be it a friend post, a “poke” or a comment on your status. However, today, everyone who was “lucky enough” to experience the global glitch (including me), received a letter of the following content:

Unfortunately, the settings that control which emails were sent. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

What does it mean? This means that if you are the happy owner of this letter in your inbox, you will have to re-configure the notification options, because now even if someone just sneezes on your profile, you will be notified by mail. Simply put, all settings have adopted the “mandatory notification” clause.

At the moment, e-mail notification options are the only data lost. All photos, information, applications remained in place, so by and large nothing serious, fortunately, did not happen. But what would have happened if this morning, users found zeroed counters of friends? ..
