Reports

“Asynchronous microservices - Vert.x or Spring?” (Alexander Fedorov, CTO in TextBack)

Alexander will tell about the TextBack service. How they migrate from Vert.x to Spring, what difficulties they face and how they survive. The report will be interesting to those who want to start working with asynchronous services and want to choose a framework for this.

Alexander has over 8 years of experience in Java industrial development, and now he is enjoying his life in a startup. He graduated from the Polytechnic School of Postgraduate Studies, taught the course “Neuroinformatics and Neotechnology” among students, and SPbPU and Dell EMC taught meringue courses in DevOps.

Advanced Gradle Build (Nikita Tukkel, Backend Team Lead in Genestack)

Nikita will describe the solution of specific problems peculiar to large and super-large builds. The report contains very little information about the basics of Gradle, some parts of it may be little understood for those who are not familiar with Gradle at all. The report will be interesting to those who are concerned about the problems of building an effective build system in a project, the number of modules in which confidently passes for a hundred.

Nikita has been programming for more than 30 years, of which the last 15 years have been in Java. Electronic document management, fintech, and now - bioinformatics. Loves Gradle, Kotlin, and everything that doesn't look like J2EE.
