About science, lemming and Dr. Goebbels

Every more or less large scholar has a Theory and there is Self-Consciousness.

Twenty-five graduate students and five doctoral scholars publish one hundred articles on the Theory and make hundreds of reports at conferences. They are all, in general, the Theory is indifferent, they have a goal to defend their dissertation. What the scientist says, they will write, for the most part. Articles are published in popular publications, they are picked up by the priests of plebeian journalism.
Ten opponents. And there are ten of them, because there are few smart people. So, ten opponents throw their own works, dig up, but just do not have time to refute a hundred articles and go to a hundred conferences.

Natural sciences are more fortunate; they have an institute of independent experiments. However, even here the forces are not enough to defeat the "biomatrices" and other New Age.
What are the antidotes? Authoritative scientific journals. Yes. But people work there too, and people somehow always take into account the hundreds of thousands of lemmings. The best antidote is your own common sense and rational thinking. The development of literacy (natural science!) Society as a whole.
