1. Lecture by Alexander Surkov on the Internet of Things

2. Open Day of the Master's Program at the National Center for Cognitive Development of the ITMO University

The National Center for Cognitive Development of the ITMO University holds an open day for prospective graduate students. You will be told about four master's directions: Big Data and Machine Learning , digital health care , Big Data in the financial sector and the development of computer games . 3. Information Society Technologies Week

An event for lovers of interdisciplinary research. Three conferences on the topic of digital transformation of society, combined into a single program. The week will be opened by events held in the framework of the annual conference “The Internet and Modern Society”. The IV International Interdisciplinary EVA Conference, related to digital humanities and the use of digital imaging technologies in the humanities, will begin on June 20, and a DTGS conference will be held on June 21 with cyber-linguistics and cyber-psychology workshops.

4. Competition of projects Unilever Technical Startup Project

Where: online
The international corporation Unilever arranges a competition of projects in order to integrate the most worthy of them into their production cycle. Invited to participate technological startups, the development of which may be useful in the field of industrial automation.
The competition is held in four areas: AR-technology, industrial robotics, automation of internal logistics (automatic vehicles and drones), and digital workflow optimization. The experts will select the finalists who will have the opportunity to develop a prototype and test it on Unilever sites.
5. International Festival of University Technology Startups
When: June 24-28
Where: Ul. Kantemirovskaya, 3, HSE Building
The first of its kind festival of startups in the country. The program includes lectures by entrepreneurs and investors. Here, the management of Rostelecom and VTB will speak, there will be heads of major innovation programs and investors. A pitch session will be held at the conference. Participation is free for all categories of visitors, except investors.
6. III Forum of Scientific Communicators of Russia
When: June 28
Where: st. Lomonosova, 9, ITMO University
The association of communicators in the field of education and science for the third year in a row holds a forum dedicated to the issues of scientific communication. This year, the key themes of the event will be processes that affect the general public’s perception of science, both internal and external, journalistic standards and communities, as well as government influence on this area.
The conference will be divided into three sessions from discussions and round tables. The plenary report will be read by physicist and journalist Michele Catanzaro, and the conference will be completed by the report of the President of the Association , Alexandra Borisova. Students are admitted free, but registration is required. Others will have to buy a ticket for the price of one to three thousand rubles.
7. Russian-Japanese hackathon “HANABI HACK”
When: June 29-30 ( registration until June 25)
Where: Moscow, st. Cosmonaut Volkov, 6, lit. “A”, start at 10:00
The event, aimed at the development of Russian-Japanese business relations. The winners of the hackathon will receive 150 thousand rubles and the opportunity to visit the Tokyo office of one of the organizers. The wording of the assignment is as follows - you need to build a platform for the exchange of knowledge between engineers. Teams of four IT specialists are accepted to participate. If you can not put together a team, they will help you find colleagues. The jury included representatives from Grooves , a Japanese HR company, CEO of the SAMI business platform and representative of the Russian educational platform ACTUM . They will evaluate the resulting prototypes and choose the winner.

8. Graduation "ITMO.Live-2019"
When: July 6 at 11:00
Where: Peter and Paul Fortress, Alekseevsky Ravelin
The holiday of the ITMO University graduate is 4 thousand participants, simultaneous presentation of diplomas on two stages, interactive platforms, photo zones and ice cream stands. The best graduates will be awarded the right to independently fire a cannon at the Peter and Paul Fortress, to receive a diploma in person from the hands of the dean, or to win a cash prize. Admission is free, but we kindly ask you to carry your passport or any document proving your identity.
9. Business festival SHIFT
When: August 29-30
Where: Turku, Finland
We invite you to a two-day international business festival, which is also called “Nordic SXSW”. SHIFT is an inexpensive way to do networking on a large overseas platform and hear lectures from leading IT experts. You are waiting for reports, concerts, art installations and lively discussions. The main theme this year is AI systems.
