The competition is organized by NUST “MISiS” and the project “Up Great Technology Contests”. Partner - StarLine Research and Production Association. IceVision participants will have to develop software that will allow an unmanned vehicle to analyze data from stereo cameras or lidars and correctly recognize the traffic situation in adverse conditions of the Russian winter.
Confident recognition of signs in all weather conditions is a necessary requirement for creating a level 5 unmanned vehicle, i.e. able to move completely without the driver in any weather conditions on any public road. At the moment, this problem has not been completely solved by any of the manufacturers of unmanned vehicles, therefore it is relevant at the global level.
Dataset will consist of 20 thousand (!) Specially selected "winter" images of roads.
Hackathon will be held July 13-16 at the student campus "House-Commune" NUST "MISiS". All non-resident will provide free accommodation and meals. Age of participants from 14 to 30 years.
