The observer of a well-known newspaper in certain circles (The New York Times) was very upset after testing a new BlackBerry Storm communicator (BBS)
In
his review, David Pogue, calls the new BlackBerry model “Dud” and focuses on the inconvenience of the touch screen of a communicator, which, according to David, is completely unsuitable for typing.
The two keyboards provided in the communicator, vertical and horizontal, are automatically selected (there is a tilt sensor in the BBS, as in the iPhone) - not only they do not make it easier, but they only complicate typing operations:
')
- the vertical keyboard is smaller than the horizontal one, therefore there are keys with several values on it. When entering text, the device starts frantically to think what you want to print and offers a variety of options that only lead you away from what you want. Sometimes a critical error occurs in the electronic brains of the phone and the BBS just hangs
- The horizontal keyboard is similar to the familiar QWERTY keyboard, but the sensitivity of the BBS touch screen is not always constant, so you have to hammer several times into the same screen button to type a letter.

All this is a little uncomfortable, Pog laments. In addition, apparently, in order to finally finish the reader, Pogh notices that another device’s flaw is “very confusing menu” and “monstrously inconvenient arrangement of functions - the icons are too close to each other and poking at one, you inevitably hurt the next one .. . "
“This wonderful phone spoils the monstrous software and the meaningless screen is a victim of iPhone cloning. But there's nothing you can do about it now, ”said Pog.

wrote that a dappervirgo, in spite of the touchscreen, broke the Storm - it worked on the T-Mobile network. So far, however, you can only call. All other services - SMS, MMS, etc - work only in the home network.
But this, I think, is not difficult to fix))
