Microsoft has introduced an updated
Internet Explorer browser . The long-awaited seventh version contains many new features that users lacked. The most important of these are most likely tabs.
IE is currently the most common browser in the world. This is due to the fact that it is built into the Windows OS, rather than convenience, speed or design. Developers have high hopes for the new version, hoping to win back the audience from the Firefox browser that has gained a lot of momentum.
“It's nice to see Microsoft return to the browser market after a 5-year absence. It's even more pleasant to see that functions that we popularized are built into Internet Explorer, ”said Christopher Beard, vice president of Mozilla in an interview with
Reuters , reminding that Firefox 2 will be released in a couple of weeks.

Western analysts say that when choosing an operating system, the user pays great attention to the browser used in it by default, which is why the office of Bill Gates increasingly has to think about the quality of the product provided. Thanks to freely distributed programs supported by major competitors, Microsoft's monopoly is weakening, although the company continues to hold the leading position.
On November 1, IE 7 will begin to be distributed through Windows Automatic Update. The developers say that without the consent of the user the update will not be made. For Russia, this is an important clarification in view of the prevalence of pirated copies of the operating system: IE 7 checks the legality of Windows during installation. An already installed browser can be easily “rolled back” using the control panel. When updating, all basic settings will be saved: the home page, bookmarks, the default search engine, etc.
Meanwhile, already a few hours after the official announcement of IE 7,
Secunia warned that the browser contains a vulnerability that allows attackers to obtain confidential user information. This vulnerability is not classified as critical. When viewing a page with a special code, a remote user can obtain data that a local user used during authentication on another site. Microsoft
has already responded to this message, arguing that possible attacks will be directed to the Windows components, which, in turn, provide access to data in the browser. Such an excuse, however, does not convince us that Internet Explorer 7 is indeed the most secure browser.
