“Our task is to promote an active dialogue between the developers of Internet projects and users, thereby making Better better,” said Igor Kandyba, a member of the working group. - ByCamp should be a platform for expressing your opinions, promoting ideas, and leading discussions in a comfortable environment: be it a presentation, a round table or brainstorming.
The Institute of Journalism believes that ByCamp 2008 will be of great help to experienced and novice journalists. “From the 2008/2009 school year, we have begun training students in the specialty“ Journalism (web journalism) ”. - says Alexander Gradyushko, curator of the new specialty, candidate of philological sciences. “We appreciate the exchange of experience and the opportunity to show ourselves, both to beginners and venerable web journalists.”
On the first day of the conference, presentations will be held in parallel in 4 classrooms of the Institute of Journalism of the BSU. On the second day, the participants will work in thematic groups, one of which will visit the house-museum of Felix Yanushkevich in Rakov, the other - the Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, the rest will gather in Minsk cafes.
Unique event and its format. Barcamp is a way of holding conferences, in the framework of which participants maximally join the process of organizing an event. They not only help with the technical organization, announce the event in blogs, but also independently create a schedule - everyone can write the topic of his speech, presentations, discussions in an empty table on the morning of the first day of the conference. The conference takes place in an informal atmosphere that stimulates discussion, exchange of ideas and networking.
The arrival of foreign guests from Ukraine, Russia and other neighboring countries is expected. Yandex and Bigmir have already announced their participation.
The partners of the ByCamp 2008 conference are the Institute of Journalism of the Belarusian State University, Atlant Telecom, MTS, and Bigmir-Internet.
Participation in ByCamp 2008 is free. You only need to register on the site
bycamp.org and decide on the form of participation. Remember: there are no tourists on BikeCamp!
