In the foreshadowing of the new 10th version of Opera browser, in the eponymous community, the question of “chicken or egg” again arose in relation to the basis of the modern browser interface - the address bar panel and the address input panel.
So, the main characters:
the address bar panel, the address input panel , and, in fact,
the page itself . What is logically and technologically attached to, what is more convenient, what is more familiar to use?
I, as a user of Opera browser with years of experience, naturally, seem to be more familiar with the address bar with the navigation buttons inside the tab. It also seems logical to me from all sides, and, moreover, I met this model not only in Opera, but also in programs like Adobe Dreamweaver:

In short, I have depicted such a diagram in a fit of argument:

The diagram shows that the model “address bar within each tab” is used in Opera and Google Chrome browsers; the model “address bar on top of tabs - one for all” is used in Internet Explorer and Firefox. Safari has its own look and each tab has its own address bar, but located at the top, and the field of the page itself seems to be “one for all”.
So, I repeat the question tormenting me:
How do you think what is attached logically and technologically, what is more convenient, what is more familiar to use? Why? Maybe someone has thoughts, as it should be different ...
