If the information is confirmed, then Google can significantly increase its market share in the Russian search engine market (according to iContext, Google’s share in Runet search queries will immediately increase from the current 33.1% to 38%).
Yesterday, the Google search bar appeared on Odnoklassniki for about one hour. Company President Nikita Sherman confirmed that they are testing a new service.
For Odnoklassniki, this is another way to monetize. According to preliminary estimates, due to contextual advertising, they can earn about $ 150 thousand per month. Next year, Odnoklassniki can earn from Google $ 1.5 million to $ 2 million. Last year, the main participants in the Russian contextual advertising market were Yandex-Direct (approximately $ 135 million) and Begun ($ 70 million) and Google ($ 10 million).
