New sales record in the gaming industry

Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced that the addon for World of Warcraft (WoW) called Wrath of the Lich King for 24 hours from the date of release sold 2.8 million copies. This automatically makes this project the best-selling PC game in history. The previous record also belonged to the product of Blizzard - the addon of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade , which in January 2007 bought up 2.4 million copies in a 24-hour period.
