Hi, Habrozhiteli! We have published a book for boys and girls from 10-11 years old which will help us, without the help of parents and teachers, write a program code.
Do you like to play online? Chat with friends via VKontakte, Facebook and Instagram? Watch videos on your smartphone? Everything you use has been invented by ordinary people who once decided that they want to do programming. The ability to write code is a modern superpower that distinguishes magicians from muggles. And the most logical way to start is to learn the JavaScript language, in which more than 90% of all websites are written.
There are a lot of tasks and exercises in the book (with answers, just don't mind looking at all right!). There may be several answers, as long as you get a working version. Become cooler Ilona Mask! It's time to roll up your sleeves and start pumping new superpowers!
Preface to the Russian edition
Divided into chapters and covering practically all the basics of the language, this book, as a guide, will guide your child through the initial steps in the world of JavaScript, giving theoretical explanations to the various nuances of programming in this language, and immediately providing the reader with the opportunity to apply this knowledge to interesting practical problems. From the first command of displaying the phrase “Hello World” (or “Hello, World”), to writing functions that perform various tasks set by the author.
')
In the process of reading it, as a working developer (programmer), I took notes on almost every page in the spirit of “something is missing here,” “somehow too easy” or “not enough”. However, later, when I almost finished reading the book, I came to the conclusion that its author thoughtfully and thoroughly approached the content, he skillfully sorted out the order of presentation of theoretical and practical material, turning the process of reading it into an exciting journey into JavaScript programming, where there is nothing complex and confusing. For everything that can make your child think for a long time in the process of reading, to be incomprehensible to him, or to seem too complicated to him, is not in this book. Yes, it is not easy to believe that the process of learning a programming language can be so easy, interesting, fun and exciting.
From myself, I note both as a teacher and as a developer that this book is quite easy to read and does not let you get bored among the lines. In any case, if your child really wants to learn how to program - I am sure that this book will help him to start writing JavaScript code without too much difficulty. The book will describe in detail how to “easily” start, give detailed explanations of all the basic foundations and allow them to be used with practical examples, and at the end will suggest the direction of the future path in the world of technology.
Gramming. I liked it, I think, you will like it too.
