SearchWiki

“You searched for SearchWiki. Surprisingly, the search did not give results. "
In Habré not a word about SearchWiki. Fill the gap.
Google announced the launch of the service SearchWiki. With it, users will be able to influence the issuance of search results - so far only in their own account and only in the English version.
The function allows users to change and customize the position of pages in the search results of the service.
With this system, each user with an account on the service can raise their favorite sites up in search results, and also exclude from it those pages that he does not like.
The launch of SearchWiki was the first time that a popular search engine allowed users to personalize search results. According to company representatives, this innovation should make the search more personal and diverse.
If the user has logged into his account, he sees a row of buttons below each link in the search results. Clicking on the up arrow button (“Promote”) takes the search result above other links. The next time the user enters this search query, the result will be in a new place. Clicking on the “X” (“Remove”) button allows you to completely remove the link from the personalized search results.
Also, users have the opportunity to take notes on different sites on the search page that can be read in the future. These comments can be shared with other users.
Although user preferences will not affect the secret formulas for ranking sites in a search engine, Google does not exclude the possibility of using collective preferences in different search queries when setting up algorithms in the future, the Associated Press reports.
However, today, according to Marissa Mayer, who’s responsible for Google’s search products, the company is simply trying to make search results more useful for every user who uses this search engine.
According to analysts, the decision to allow users to influence the location of sites in the results suggests that even a search engine like Google cannot fully satisfy users in all aspects of the search.
It should be noted that today the niche of "personal" search engines, the results of which are adjusted by users, already takes a number of services, including Mahalo, Hakia, ChaCha and others. However, none of these startups have achieved any significant popularity.

And now from myself: I would like to think about the use of this feature by site owners. Any ideas?
PS: I would publish to Google, but karma is not enough.
PPS In Google, an article on this topic was certainly found, but neither the article nor the tags contain the name of the service - SearchWiki.
