December 4-5, 2008, Moscow will host the largest Microsoft technical conference in Russia -
Platform 2009 . The conference will have a lot of interesting things: a plenary report by
Mark Russinovich , an
internationally known specialist in the internal structure of the Microsoft Windows operating system, a plenary report, 60 technical reports, round tables, laboratory work and much more.
For those who want to learn about the latest Microsoft technologies, look at the implementation experience and listen to tips on the use of technologies, the possibility of virtual participation is provided - Platform Online. The Online Platform is a broadcast of videos of all reports in real time, as well as recordings of all reports available after the conference.
To participate in the Platform Online, simply
register on the conference website .
Unlike the recent
virtual conference Vort-Ex , users of almost any browser and OS will be able to view the conference broadcast, since there are several options for viewing: a player built into the Silverlight page, or a link to a video stream that most modern video players can play eg Windows Media Player.

Detailed information on the conference reports can be found
in the conference participant's brochure (PDF, 7 MB). The schedule of conference reports is available at

With such a large amount of interesting content, there is always a problem of choice - what to see, if it’s so difficult to find the time to watch, but I want to stay up to date with the latest events. In this case, the “plan for viewing reports” will help a lot. Having at hand a kind of map that represents the content of the conference in one way or another, you can get the information of interest with minimal time.
However, all people are different and it is difficult for us, the organizers, to create such “maps” on the contents of the conference in all interesting projections, so we suggest making these “maps” to all those who are interested in the contents of the conference.
We are
announcing a competition to create plans for viewing reports . You can choose any slice by audience (for administrators, for generalists, secretaries and reception staff, etc.), application areas (hosting platform, workflow, infrastructure solutions, etc.) and any other projections you see fit. You can also present your plan in different ways - from a regular table to a flowchart or avant-garde oil painting.
Some of the best works will receive a wonderful prize - the
opportunity to take part * in the conference Platform 2009 on December 4-5 in Moscow !
The competition is held from
21 to 26 November . Time is short, but, you see, it is more interesting.
To participate in the contest, it is enough to publish your version of the plan in a personal blog or on a personal web page on which to place a link to the conference site of the form
platforma2009.ru/?contest=mysite.com , where to replace mysite.com with the address of the page where you posted your version of the visit plan reports. So we can find out about the version of the plan that attracted the most visitors to the Platform 2009 conference, for which we will also provide a prize in the form of free participation in the conference.
* According to the organizers, the authors of the best works are provided with free registration for the conference Platform 2009. Microsoft does not provide a hotel and does not pay for travel to the conference venue.
Thanks in advance for your ideas!
