Gathering of the system operators of the “Medium” network points in Moscow, on May 18 at 14:00 at the Patriarshie Prudy

May 18 (Saturday) in Moscow at 14:00 at the Patriarshy Ponds there will be a meeting of the system operators of the “Medium” network points.

We believe that the Internet should be politically neutral and free — the principles on the basis of which the worldwide network was built do not withstand any criticism. They are outdated . They are unsafe . We live in Legacy. Any centralized network is compromised by default - and this is one of the reasons why we deploy “Medium”.

We believe that confidentiality is one of those foundations without which a calm and measured life of a person is impossible.

We believe that everyone has the right to the confidentiality and integrity of their data.

We believe that Medium will be able to render feasible assistance to the development of the I2P network - after all, with each new raised Medium point, a new transit node appears in the I2P network.

The following questions will be raised at the meeting:

1. Long-term plans for the development of the network "Medium": discussion of the vector of development of the network, its key features and integrated security when working with the network
2. Proper organization of access to I2P network resources
3. Why do we need HTTPS for eepsites when using the “Medium” network
4. You are not safe if you are not convinced of this yourself: digital hygiene and the most common mistakes and misconceptions when using the network «Medium»
5. Using OpenPGP in practice. Why, why and when?
6. Discussion of the deployment of the Russian-language social network in I2P with transport for "Medium"

Operators of active points of the Medium network and people who are interested in information security or who wish to become volunteers and operators of points of the Medium network are invited.
