Google, whose lion’s share of revenues is now making profit from contextual advertising, could not but be interested in this project. The appointment of a company representative on The Knot's board and the almost instantaneous growth of stocks is logical: the market is awaiting change. The likelihood that Google will soon place ad units on the site has increased dramatically.

The option of buying The Knot is also quite probable, Google has enough cash now: $ 1.65 billion for YouTube is not cash, but share exchange. However, are The Knot owners ready to sell it now, when the project’s market value is only $ 625 million?
