Making screenshots in Mac OS X Leopard (new features!)

You probably already know the keyboard shortcuts that are used in Mac OS X earlier versions to take a screenshot:



Command-Shift-3: takes a snapshot of the entire screen and saves it to the desktop.

Command-Shift-4, then select the area: takes a snapshot of the selected area of ​​the screen and saves it to the desktop.

Command-Shift-4, then the spacebar, and click on the window: it takes a screenshot of the window you clicked and saves it to the desktop.

In Mac OS X Leopard, the ability to photograph a screen is greatly enhanced - the keys below can be pressed while selecting an area (with Command-Shift-4 or Command-Control-Shift-4):



" Space " to fix the size of the selected area and move it behind the mouse cursor (immediately after selecting the area, do not release the mouse button, press the spacebar and drag the selection area on the screen).



Shift to change only one border of the selected area (just as you made the selection, do not release the mouse button, press Shift and drag for example horizontally, if you need to edit the vertical size - release and press Shift again and drag vertically).



Option to change the size of the selected area relative to the center point (once you have made the selection, press Option (Alt) and drag with the mouse to increase the size of the selected area relative to its center).
