Space data center. Video report from the launch

As you remember, on April 12, on the Cosmonautics Day, our small server successfully flew into the stratosphere! During the flight, the server aboard the stratostat distributed the Internet, filmed and transmitted video and telemetry data to the ground.

In an hour or so, our web server flew to an altitude of 22,700 meters, flew 70 km, experienced a temperature drop from +25 0 to -60 0 and received 125 messages from habrazhiteley. Different messages came to the stratosphere: romantics confessed in love, offended co-investors asked for their protection, animal lovers were looking for cats and dolphins at an altitude of 22 kilometers, there was advertising, and without it. Greetings and congratulations on cosmonautics day came from Belarus, Ukraine, the Urals, Siberia, Sakhalin, Novorossiysk, Yaroslavl, Gomel, Bryansk.

In the last publication, we summarized the project, showed a small online recording from the probe and promised to show a full video of the flight. We present videos from two onboard cameras with all messages received from you, the current height and coordinates on the monitors.

A bit of background and useful links for those who missed everything:
')
  1. A post on how to coordinate the flight of the probe into the stratosphere (what we encountered in practice at launch).
  2. As we did the " iron part " of the project - for fans of geek-porn, with details and code.
  3. The site of the project, where it was possible to monitor the movement of the probe and the telemetry in real time.
  4. Comparison of space communications systems that we used in the project.
  5. Text translation of the server launch into the stratosphere.
  6. Results of the experiment

In one of the previous posts about Javian launch, I wanted to know how the sound in the stratosphere is changing, so we decided not to impose music on these videos, listen, enjoy the silence and the wind.

During the flight of the server, we held a contest among the users of Habr, in which we had to guess the landing place of the probe. More than 600 habrazhiteli participated in the competition.

Vlad vvzvlad was the closest of all; he guessed the point with an accuracy of up to 1 kilometer. Vlad won our grand prize trip to Baikonur, we are preparing the documents for sending it to the launch of the Soyuz manned spacecraft on July 20 and are waiting for the reporting post about the trip.

The second place was taken - MikiRobot , his forecast was a little less accurate, 3 km from the landing site. He has already received his prize in our office, congratulations and we wish you a pleasant trip.

The points of the remaining 20 winners were removed from 4 to 12 kilometers from the landing site of the probe. We are waiting for you on a trip to Star City in May. Who has not responded to our messages, please contact us soon in our VKontakte group or write in a personal on Habré.
