Adobe Flash Player 10 on Android

November 17, at a conference of Adobe MAX 2008 in San Francisco, Google’s mobile platform director Andy Rubin showed how Flash Player works on Android. So it became known that Adobe is porting a flash player to this platform, in particular, on the T-Mobile G1 “Googlephone”. At the same time, Flash Player may appear on the iPhone, but here the move has long been behind Apple (and now it turns out that the iPhone starts to fall behind).

Also, Adobe chief architect Kevin Lynch showed how Flash Player works under Nokia Symbian and Windows Mobile. And everywhere it was the latest version of the player.

I am glad that Flash Player 10 will be available for Android - it means that ActionScript3 will be used and such innovations and add-ons as the Vector class, a full OOP with packages and namespaces - in short, all those ECMAScript4 innovations that were recently rejected as standard javascript (external link). As part of the ECMAScript4 committee, Google, Mozilla and Opera have made important contributions to their creation.
