Good afternoon, reader!
This release is the largest of all habradigest releases. This is largely due to the fact that many interesting articles about design have appeared on Habré.
In addition, the volume of issue has grown also due to the fact that several authors have tried and translated interesting articles. There are 4 such translated articles in this issue, almost half.
')
On the one hand, there are so many good translations - this is excellent, but on the other hand, the fact that the original content, for example, programming has decreased, is not very good. Recently, Habré introduced the mechanism of invites, which, hopefully, will attract good authors to the project, whose articles will be included in future releases of habradigest.
In this issue, the topic of the issue was typography, as the main topic of the article by the author
despoth entitled “Preparing a Layout for a Client”. In the article, the author argues and gives a lot of examples on issues related to fonts and their smoothing.
Before publishing the issue, I suggested that Habr's participants choose the best article of the beginning of the month themselves, but the experiment with voting failed and will not be repeated any more.
We chose the best author and article by ourselves. They become
despoth with his article "Preparing a layout for the client." Congratulations! And thanks for the great stuff.
Content
All articles are in issue with permission of the authors. For the cover of this issue, typography book by Emil Ruder is used.
Acknowledgments
I express my gratitude to the authors who wrote wonderful articles on Habré in the first half of November.
