Moscow Internet users use contextual advertising consciously

More than half (51%) of Internet users in Moscow purposefully use contextual advertising to search for goods or services. These are the data of the research conducted by COMCON conducted among Moscow Internet users by request of the contextual advertising service “Runner”.

A similar study was conducted in October 2007. The proportion of users of contextual advertising then amounted to 21% of the weekly Internet audience. The number of people who know about contextual advertising has grown over the year. Now there are about 2 million 20 thousand people, which is 20% more than in October last year. As the "Runner" , the most common information about contextual advertising among top managers, heads of departments and specialists.

During the survey, respondents aged between 16 and 55 were interviewed. The online survey was conducted using an online panel using a representative sample. The quotas for gender and age of monthly Internet users were set based on the TGI-Russia baseline survey, 1H 2008.
