Two new PHDays contests: IDS bypass and factory hacking

At PHDays 9, participants will be able to test their strength in workshops on various topics of applied security. But the competitive program is not limited to this: the list is replenished with two fresh competitions - Industrial Ninja and IDS Bypass.

You can compete for the title of industrial ninja and unravel the big bang theory in the Industrial Ninja competition. Throughout the forum, anyone can try their hand at breaking into a gas pumping plant. The participants will have three stands emulating the industrial process. The essence of their work is as follows: under high pressure (more than 100,000 Pa), a deadly pesticidal gas (in reality, air) is pumped into an elastic container (balloon).

Each stand will have its own level of complexity (according to the degree of protection): beginner, experienced and ninja. The task of the contestants is to understand the technological process, intercept the plant management and provoke an accident. The competition will last throughout the forum, any visitor can take part. Participants who manage to intercept the process control and arrange an accident at the plant will receive prizes from the organizers: Proxmark3 RDV2 promise for first place!

For those who are more interested in fighting with defense systems, we are waiting for the IDS Bypass competition. Participants must crack the five vulnerable nodes and extract flags from them, but remain unnoticed by the intrusion detection system.

Anyone with any level of knowledge can participate in the competition. Vulnerabilities will be widely known, you just need to concentrate on IDS bypass. By the way, it will be possible to pull up the hardware at the booth of Network Village, where security experts from Positive Technologies and DC7831 and DC2e06 communities will make presentations, including on IDS bypass. For the competition you will need a laptop with Wi-Fi and an Ethernet adapter. Winners will get: I place - WiFi Pineapple TETRA, II place - WiFi Pineapple NANO, III place - account in Shodan.
