Google added voice search to iPhone software.

IPhone software users can now use their phones to find the information they need using their voice. It is planned that it will soon appear on the iTunes store.

For example, you can ask "Where is the nearest cafe?" Or "What is the height of Everest?". The sound in the form of a file is sent to one of Google’s servers, processed and searched. The result is a regular search page (or set of pages) with a list of relevant documents.
In this case, if necessary, a local search is performed taking into account the location of the subscriber. For example, if you search for “Where is the best pizza in my city?” You can get a list of nearby restaurants or find the best way to travel by car.

It is alleged that the system "understands" about two trillion "tokens" or samples of search words.

“It is also important to understand that the voice recognition mechanism will never be perfect.
Our next task is to make voice search available for other phone models as well. ”
