ATI Catalyst 8.11

The new proprietary ATI Catalyst 8.11 Proprietary Linux x86 Display Driver has just been released . The main and most anticipated update in them is the support for Xorg 7.4 (due to its absence on Ubuntu 8.10, it was impossible to install the drivers of the old versions).

At the same time, it’s already known in the known issue that if you try to install new drivers from the Ubuntu repositories, there may be problems with 3d acceleration. Therefore, it is worthwhile to install drivers from the ati site.
