A year ago, I talked about the appearance of lighting LEDs of a new generation, whose spectrum of light is close to the sun, for which these LEDs were called
SunLike . Then they were very expensive. Now the price has fallen and Chinese counterparts have appeared.
The fundamental difference between SunLike and ordinary LEDs is the principle of white light. In conventional lighting LEDs, crystals emitting blue light with a wavelength of 452-456 nm, coated with a phosphor, partially transforming blue light into red and yellow, are used. Sunlike uses crystals that emit purple light with a wavelength of 418-426 nm and a phosphor that converts purple light into red, green, and blue. This allows you to get rid of the "blue peak", the danger of which is written by some scientists.

Now the 6-watt LEDs of the Seoul Semiconductor Sunlike SAWS0661A are significantly cheaper, but lamps based on them are still not cheap.
Smart Eco Lightning has released its solar spectrum LEDs, which cost almost half the price. 6-watt modules SOL1306 have a CRI (Ra) of 98-99 and give 648-713 lm (replacement of 70-watt incandescent lamp).
Unlike Korean SunLike, Chinese SmartEco simultaneously uses violet (424-425 nm) and blue (456-459 nm) crystals.
A Belarusian entrepreneur, producing lamps under the GrowByLEDs brand, sent me to study seven lamps: three on Sunlike SAWS0661A LEDs (with a color temperature of 3000K, 4000K and 5000K) and four on SmartEco SOL1306S LEDs (with a color temperature of 3200K, 4000K, 5000K and 5600K).
Compare the spectra. On the left - SunLike 3000K, on the right - SmartEco 3200K. The spectrum of the lamp with Chinese LEDs is even smoother and the color rendering indices are higher.
For comparison, the spectra of ordinary lamps with CRI 80 and 90: on the left OSRAM, Right IKEA.
On the left - SunLike 4000K, on the right - SmartEco 4000K.
For comparison, the spectra of ordinary lamps with a color temperature of 4000K: on the left OSRAM, Right IKEA. Blue peak in all its glory.
On the left is the SunLike 5000K, on the right is the SmartEco 5000K.
On the left - LED strip with a color temperature of 5600K on conventional LEDs with high CRI and SmartEco 5600K. Feel the difference. :)
SmartEco LEDs were not only cheaper than SunLike, but also slightly better in spectrum, however, both of them provide very high-quality lighting that is not inferior to incandescent lamps.
6-watt LED bulbs SmartEco GrowByLEDs
sells for $ 16 . Of course, this is not cheap, but I really hope that in a couple of years the LEDs of the new generation with an even “solar” spectrum will be used even in the cheapest lamps.
