The Upwork company has notified customers from the Russian Federation that it will soon start collecting VAT for the services of the service from freelancers and agencies. A 20% tax will be collected from the service fee (the amount received from the customer is not subject to this tax).

The registration procedure for Upwork in the Russian Federation has not yet been completed, the exact date of commencement of the collection of VAT will be announced later. No action by freelancers is required.
