Quickfire phone went on sale

A new mobile phone called Quickfire (also known as Knick) , developed and manufactured by UTStarcom for AT & T, went on sale online and in AT & T stores. This device, made in the form factor of the side slider, is equipped with a QWERTY-keyboard and a touch screen, and is oriented to work in conventional GSM, as in 3G networks (UMTS / WCDMA / HSDPA).


The dimensions of the phone are 109x56x18 mm with a weight of 136 grams. Quickfire has a 2.8-inch TFT touch screen with a resolution of 240x320 pixels, a QWERTY-keyboard, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a Bluetoth 2.0 module with A2DP. It has a few internal memory (only 29 MB). Expansion is possible due to microSD memory cards (up to 8 GB). The device’s media player supports MP3, MIDI, AAC, AAC +, AMR formats. There are in Quickfire and radio.

The phone uses a 1200 mAh lithium-ion battery. According to the manufacturer, it should be enough for 12.5 days in standby mode and 3 hours of calls.

AT & T subscribers, subject to the conclusion of a two-year contract, Quickfire will cost $ 99.99. Without considering all these troubles with AT & T, the device will cost $ 299.99.
