New PowerMate

The NEC company, or rather its Asia Pacific division, was noted for the addition of the all-in-one PowerMate line of computers. In this capacity were two new products - PowerMate P4000 and PowerMate P6000. Both "monoblock" is undoubtedly handsome and outwardly and possess quite modern technical characteristics.

The “younger” model, the PowerMate P4000, is equipped with a 1.9-gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 QL-60 processor, a 250 GB hard disk, 1 GB of RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce 9100M G integrated video. This PC display is widescreen. With a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels. The relatively “tricked” PowerMate P6000 is equipped with a larger display - 19 inches, 1,440 × 900 pixels. Yes, and iron in it more abruptly: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 2.53 GHz, HDD 500 GB, 2 GB DDR2 RAM and integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9300 graphics card. Both PCs also have a DVD cutter, Gigabit LAN, and integrated Wireless LAN adapter. Wireless keyboard and mouse - included.

New branded candy bars cost a lot of money. The PowerMate P4000 costs $ 1,270 and the PowerMate P6000 costs $ 1,675. Prices, especially compared to the recently announced Eee Top "up to $ 500" (yes, it is not so "cool" and all that, but the price ...) bite. If Vista were removed from there (and both computers come with Microsoft's pre-installed OS), then it would be at least a little, but cheaper.
