The situation is the following - "The curve leads the blind." Those. non-specialist teaches amateur. Why? Simply, there are few specialists and they are engaged in more interesting work than the enlightenment of the masses. And the books, for the most part, write the so-called "technical writers" - literary akyns describing their path in the knowledge of a particular subject in popular language. And where this path will lead - only God knows. Censorship, or malomalskoy check no. The market decides what is sold and what is produced.
As a result, pseudo-specialists growing up with similar literature are growing. And worse, these books are used as a model by children who decide to become Web designers or other IT specialists. Of course, life will teach, but it is a pity to waste time.
A simple example. I always spend some of my teacher’s salary on the subject’s literature. Scoop already at 1500 p. books on PHP [+ MySQL]. Diagnosis - not one I can not choose as a textbook. For my taste, the best one is Dmitriy Koterov’s tutorial ... But in one book, for example, solutions to problems with encodings in MySQL are not described. Those. It is impossible to build a training cycle based on the finished product on the benefits and self-help books. (Although the intensity of the problems of teaching children in PHP was already asleep for me this academic year, I continue to move in this direction).
I want to offer a solution. Immediately make a reservation - the decision is very prozekterskoe, but what experience to do in additional education makes itself felt.
So ... For IT literature, it is necessary to develop an open license, implying not only free copying in electronic form (this already exists), but also free modification. Modify better on habro-like resource (with karma and censorship) in order to cut off the talkers - akyns. In general, what I propose is a classic of TRIZ - an association of 2 working technicians to solve a new problem.
I would like to hear the opinion of the community habr on my proposal. Just do not say that there is a wikibook. This is another. To do what I propose is difficult enough. It should be done either at a serious level or not at all.
