How Adobe Upgrade Flash to Version 10
On duty (I work in a company whose logo begins with a red letter) periodically I look at which software versions users use.
Recently I was interested in the question - “how many users do we have who already have the 10th flash installed?”. We collect statistics on flash versions on one of our projects. As of yesterday - the 10th flash is installed in almost 30% of users.
However, this is not the most interesting thing. Interesting in how this version of the flash reached such a value.
Here is a graph of the distribution of flash versions for the last month. If you look closely - then from the very first day of release, this version adds every day exactly one percent of its audience. Day to day, like a clock (well, taking into account the statistical error, of course).
In my opinion very beautiful, well done Adobe. October 21st was 10.2%, the 31st was 20.3% and so on.
And another paragraph about the forecasts. It seems to me that by the end of the year, a dozen will reach the plateau in the region of 65% -70% of the audience (now about 30% of users use IE6, they are unlikely to update the flash while remaining on the same browser).
