On November 17, the final version of the specification for the new SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) high-speed data transfer standard will be presented. According to CNet, this will happen at the SuperSpeed USB Developers Conference, which will be held in San Jose, California.
According to the specification, the data transfer rate over USB 3.0 will be about 10 times higher than the performance of the familiar USB 2.0, i.e. reaches 5 Gbit / s.
Despite the fact that the size of the USB 3.0 connector is somewhat different from the USB 2.0 connectors, compatibility with the previous version of the interface will still be preserved.
