SmartMail Conf: the first conference of Mail.ru Mail on machine learning

On March 23, our office will host the first professional conference from Mail.ru Mail - SmartMail Conf. It will be devoted to the use of machine learning technologies in high-load services. Machine learning is one of our priorities, and is used, for example, in Mail.ru Mail for classifying letters, protecting against spam, sorting mailings, extracting important letters, in Smart Reply technology and other tasks.

The main program of the conference will include technical reports from the Mail.ru Mail development team on natural language processing, computer vision and training models for dealing with spam.

An important topic of the conference will be computer vision and how it can be used in various services: from sights recognition on images in Mail.ru Cloud to finding people in a video stream, which Mail.ru deals with in business.

Also at the conference, developers will tell about the additional training of anti-spam models on an ongoing basis and the SmartReply function in Mail.ru Mail. You will also learn how difficult it is to adapt machine learning technologies to work with high-loaded services.

The applied use of machine learning is not forgotten either: how computer vision technologies are used in real devices. In 2018, Mail.ru Group introduced the Vision service for events , allowing them to find photos from the event from a face shot. The developers will tell you how to integrate this technology into various gadgets, video surveillance systems and promozons.

After the conference, you will be able to chat on topics of interest to you in an informal setting.
