The creators of the robot Fedor now create a new project: this is a robot , similar to BigDog from Boston Dynamics. Certain success is already there, said the executive director of the company "Android technology" Evgeny Dudorov.

The NGO "Android Technology" together with the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute "Signal" are developing a four-legged robot for transporting goods, Dudorov said: “We are doing this work. Last year, in cooperation with the Signal Research Institute, a biomorphic platform was developed for the development of movement and transfer technologies. During the tests, the four-legged platform reached a speed of movement of 6.5 kilometers per hour. The robot can carry cargo, overcome obstacles. One of the main requirements is that it works autonomously, ”said Dudorov.

According to him, the technology of creating a four-legged robot has been worked out, but Russian developers are still far from their colleagues from Boston Dynamics: “By the order of the US Department of Defense, they invested $ 42 million in the development of AlphaDog ... We roughly calculated that they had about 50 four-legged devices. They spent about $ 500 million on the development of biomorphic topics, ”said Dudorov.

According to him, Russian developers are also not standing still and are designing new types of biomorphic platforms.

However, the project of the previous FEDOR robot from the same company cannot be called successful. It was created by order of the Emergencies Ministry, but the ministry refused to accept it on balance , so the results are transferred to Roskosmos and Rosatom.

It is assumed that Fedor can fly into space on the Federation spacecraft: at least he has already sat in a commanding position in the Soyuz spacecraft.

In addition, at its base, the developers propose to create a scuba diver robot with a screw instead of legs, which could remotely carry out diving work.
