A new version of Active State's wonderful editor, Komodo, has been released. The Komodo development environment is written in XUL, based on the Mozilla Code Base, and in its time was just a find for me.
Dynamic highlighting and autosubstitution of the syntax of a large number of languages and template engines: CSS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, Tcl, RHTML, Template Toolkit, HTML-Smarty and Django.
Correct mixed code highlighting
Project Manager, toolbox, XPI extensions
Work with remote repositories (CVS, Perforce, Subversion, Git, Mercurial, Bazaar)
Cross Platform (Win / Linux / Mac)
The list is far from complete, all the time I find new, useful features.
In the new version: ')
Added version control systems: Git, Mercurial (hg), Bazaar
Changed and fixed formatting algorithms that affect the readability of the code
Komodo IDE is paid ($ 245.00), but there is also a free version - Komodo Edit , which completely suits me.
I have been using it for quite some time and I recommend it in every possible way. The only drawback that doesn’t bother me in principle is the relatively long start time of the program, but IMHO, it’s not scary.
