CNews changed appearance

CNews , an online publication on high technologies, is being redefined in a new way, with an updated design. According to its director, Edward Erkola, CNews is committed to portal design - that is, it wants to satisfy the information needs of a large number of users.

Since its founding in 2000, a wealth of materials has been accumulated in various areas of the information technology sphere. “We wanted to put the content in order, decompose it into convenient shelves,” says Edward Erkola. - Design change is a minor event. Not the fact that we will not change it further - the main thing is to make a convenient portal for users who have different interests. ” In the meantime, in the entire history of its existence, the publication changes its appearance for the third time.
In order to facilitate the process of tracking information on a specific segment of the IT market, new thematic sections were introduced - “Business”, “Telecom”, “Integration”, “Security”, “Internet”, etc. . In addition, according to the publication, less often it will be possible to use the search on the site - they tried to arrange information and links so that it was easy to find the right one from each individual page.

Thematic sections themselves contain new editions for the publication - “Company”, “Facts”, “Numbers”, “Opinions”, “Positive” and “Negative”; they reflect significant industry events and statements.
At the same time, the reader’s familiar gradation into general sections - “News”, “Analytics”, “Events”, “Video”, “Journal”, etc. — has been preserved.
“The new design has expanded our capabilities by allowing us to closely focus on each individual direction,” comments Maxim Kazak, editor-in-chief of CNews. - The Russian IT market is becoming more mature and segmented, and we are growing with it, striving to cover all areas. At the same time, we are open to new ideas and suggestions and are ready to change further, responding to the wishes of our readers. ”
