Simultaneously with the
end of the WebHiTech contest, I want to announce an equally important event in my life: the main work on the manuscript of the book “Accelerate Your Site” has been completed.
At the moment, it includes several dozens of articles, many-many thoughts of habra people and a detailed analysis of both analysis tools and some sites of Runet.
Download the latest .pdf file (3.2 MB,
200 264 pages) can always be at this address
webo.in/bookI do not give a direct link, because the version will still change a lot and often (error correction, proofreading).
')
Good news: the book will be published in paper form, agreed with the publisher. Expected release date: end of February - early March 2009. Expected price:
400r 300r.
What is the request to the readers? If it seems to you that some thoughts are undeservedly forgotten, or the author is not mentioned in thanks. Or you want to exclude yourself from thanks, or your thoughts from the book (if there is a documentary rationale that these thoughts first came to your head) - please write in the comments. Be sure to take into account all the wishes.
According to the structure of the presentation, I want to hear how clear / intelligible it is. As far as the separate parts are coordinated (for all this initially consisted of several dozen articles on this subject). What is currently missed or stated in the wrong light.
Spelling once again does not need to check. At a minimum, it will be checked three times before the publication itself by qualified specialists. It is highly advisable to leave all comments until November 13, 2008 - it is then that the manuscript will be transferred to the publishing house, and active work on it will cease.

UPD2: originally a broken version was posted. Please, who downloaded in the first 50 minutes - download the file again.
UPD3: in the first 12 hours, over 500 people downloaded the book.
UPD4: if someone can share an optimized configuration / settings for IIS - please write in the comments. This moment in the book is covered very poorly.
UP5: Pre-order is open .
