Drupal received Overall 2008 Open Source CMS Award

The Drupal Association announced that Drupal won 2 prestigious awards from Packt Publishing this week - the Overall 2008 Open Source CMS Award and the Best PHP Open Source CMS Award. That is, for the second year in a row, CMS Drupal is recognized in this prestigious competition as absolutely the best. The second and third places in the overall standings, respectively, took Joomla! and CMS Made Simple.

As Packt speaker Démien Carville said, “Drupal has worked on the jury with its strength and energy. Special thanks to the Drupal development team, which continue to improve the system while maintaining a loyal and enthusiastic community. ”

In addition, Packt Publishing recognized one of the leading Drupal developers Earl Miles (Earl Miles) as the most valuable person of the year in the field of Open Source CMS (2008 Most Valued Person - MVP).
