Conference WWW2006 Russia is scheduled for late October

As we reported earlier, WWW2006 Russia will be the first large-scale web developer conference in Russia. Up to 700 programmers from all over Russia will be able to visit it. Nothing of the kind has happened in our country so far: neither RIF nor CIB have ever claimed the role of an event for technical specialists, so the WWW 2006 Russia summit will be the first of its kind.

The organizational work on WWW2006 Russia takes place on a special wiki-forum , which anyone who has an access password can edit (you can ask the organizers in the comments to this text).

At the moment, the organizers have almost decided on the timing of the conference. The most auspicious date is called October 27-28 (Friday-Saturday). True, there are doubts that under such conditions it will be possible to rent a room. Because of this, the date can be changed.

The room requires a fairly large: 500-700 people. We need one large hall for 300–500 people (or even more), several small lecture halls ( 100–200 people) and a large number of audiences, preferably equipped with computer equipment, in which master classes can be held. Now there are negotiations with two contractors who specialize in the selection of halls: the first , the second .

According to some estimates, the cost of participation in the conference WWW2006 Russia will be $ 50-60 per day, including meals.

A conference site is being created at www2006.ru . At the moment, 127-creative studio is finishing work on the design, so that the resource will open in the very near future.
