Yesterday, HP unveiled its new Mini 1000 netbooks to the public. And three models at once. They are positioned, which is not surprising, as devices optimized for Internet access. Things worthy. Both externally and in its filling. The netbooks have a 1.6 gigahertz Intel Atom N270, a widescreen LED backlit display with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels, a webcam, a microphone. The interesting thing is that HP managed to cram a keyboard into the netbook form factor, which is only 8% (in terms of area) smaller than conventional notebook keyboards.

The most popular model of the HP Mini 1000 is equipped with 512 MB of RAM (can also be ordered with 1 GB), two USB ports, Ethernet adapters, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In addition, HP will soon release its upgrade with 3G support. The buyer can choose different models: with 8-, 9- and 10.2-inch display. You can also change the HDD (60 GB) for SSD (from 8 to 16 GB). The machine works on Windows XP.

The slightly cheaper HP Mini 1000 MIE (Mobile Internet Experience) offers fewer options to choose from, but instead comes with Linux with a graphical user interface developed by HP and a pre-installed set of Internet software.

Another model - HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition - is an image product. It has a bright red body with a floral ornament. Ladies should like it. This product comes only with a 10.2-inch display, and on the filling one on one repeats the Mini 1000.

Prices for new HP netbooks, in principle, do not bite. The HP Mini 1000 in the US costs $ 399, and the Mini 1000 MIE costs $ 379. For the bright colors of the Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition, you will have to pay a larger amount - $ 699. But they, design solutions, always cost more than ordinary "workhorses."
